Dome Simulator
Check content on a 3D dome before a show.
The Dome Simulator shows the rendered output on a 3D dome. It is useful for domemaster, fulldome and Mirror Dome work.
Open the simulator
- Choose Timeline > Dome Simulator (⇧⌘D) or click Dome 3D.
- Play the video in Preview or move the playhead.
- Check orientation, edges, centre and coverage.
Adjust the view
- Grid shows spatial references; Content Grid shows how the video maps onto the dome.
- Ring shows the base of the dome.
- Reset Camera returns to the front of the dome.
- Choose the preview resolution: 1K is light, 2K balanced, 4K the most detailed.
- Stats shows the real video frame rate of the preview.
